Altium Designer, in conjunction with Altium 365, provides a streamlined and highly automated process to quickly migrate your existing libraries to your Altium 365 Workspace.
Before Migration
- Create your Altium 365 Workspace with sample data and remove sample components.
- Review and configure lifecycles, revision naming schemes, component types, and component templates (for Pro and Enterprise Subscriptions).

Best Practices for Library Migration
- Set component types for uncategorized components using advanced mode in Altium Designer’s Library Importer.
- When working with large monolithic libraries, import components in smaller batches by excluding component types to expedite uploads.
- Configure import checks, parameter mapping, and part choice mapping in the properties panel.
